Local Events

Carbondale offers a variety of fun events, bringing the community together year-round.  From the film festivals to road bike races, music and craft fairs, a century-old potato celebration, the Wild West Rodeo and First Fridays, you are sure to have fun in Carbondale!

First Fridays: 

The first Friday of the month, downtown Carbondale opens it's doors to share in celebration of shopping, dining, the arts and entertainment.  A very popular event in Carbondale, First Friday's are enjoyed by many!  Learn more about First Fridays.

Carbondale Wild West Rodeo:

The Carbondale rodeo is held every Thursday evening from early June to late August.  It's always exciting with Open Barrel Racing, Junior Barrel Racing, Bull Riding, Kid's Calf Scramble and more.  Learn more about the Wild West Rodeo!

5Point Film Festival:

The 5Point Film Festival is an annual gathering of filmmakers every year in Carbondale. " The 5Point Film Festival is on a mission to inspire adventure of all kinds, to connect generations through shared experience and respect, to engage passion with a conscience, and to educate through film."  Learn more about this incredible event.

Farmers Market:

The farmers market happens every Wednesday June 13th - October 3rd.  The Carbondale Farmer's Market is located in the 4th Street plaza in the heart of downtown.  Vendor's from in and around Carbondale come to sell fresh produce, breads, arts, crafts and more.

Ride the Rockies:

Ride the Rockies stopped Carbondale in the Summer of 2012 for the first time in the 27-year history of the event. Carbondale hosted the riders overnight following a 68-mile push over McClure Pass.
